Rec Program Overview

The Recreactional/Development Program is where all players under the age of 8 start.  It runs from ages 3 through 10.  It is our only co-ed program, and the focus of the program is on having fun, being active, and learning soccer skills.  Players have two practices each week and a game on Saturday each weekend.

The Rec/Development program is broken into four age groups covering the age and skill levels needed to prepare players best in progression.  These are: Under-4 Minis, U5/U6-Clinic, U7/U8-Juniors and U9/U10-Seniors.

Registration Timeline

Registration is online and is open from mid-November through mid-March for Spring seasons and from June through mid-August for Fall seasons. We will accept players as long as we have room to place them.

Costs

Our standard pricing is $95 per season and includes a uniform you keep.  A discount of $10 is automatically given during the early registration period.

Practices

Practices begin after the "Back To Soccer" organizational meeting that starts each season.  Practices are typically on M/W or T/Th and are determined by each team.  Typically, practices are 60 to 90 minutes depending on the age of the players and generally start at 5:30 or 6pm.

Games

Games are played on Saturdays at the ASA Rec fields located between Arundel High School/Middle School off Hammond Lane in Gambrills, MD.  Game start times are between 9am-1pm each Saturday.  The game day schedule is generally posted on the ASA website two weeks before the first game of each season.

Trainers and Coaches

All Rec/Development Program coaches are volunteers, regardless of experience.  Coaches receive training and are eligible for licensing, with many coaches already holding significant experience or license levels.  If you are interested in becoming a Head Coach or Assistant Coach, please note this when registering and contact Coaching@ArundelSoccer.com.
